WHAT IS ACNE VULGARIS ?

By AntinAcne vulgaris or acne, is a common skin problem (not like skin cancer) that happens if oil and dead skin cells clog up your pores. Acne also called blackheads, blemishes, whiteheads, pimples, or zits. Acne vulgaris can divide to mild acne and severe acne. A mild form of acne is a few red spots or pimples. In severe condition, acne can mean hundreds of pimples that can cover skin of the face, neck, chest, and back. Or, it can be bigger, solid, red lumps that are painful (cysts).

Most young people get at least mild acne in their skin. It usually gets better after the teen years. But many adult women do have acne in the days before their menstrual periods. See you doctor if your pimples getting worse or scarring your skin. Sometimes acne cream or gel that applies to skin can relief them or maybe the doctor will also prescribe antibiotic pills. Treatment by certain birth control pills may help women. Acne cysts in the skin need stronger medicine. A mix of treatments may work best for acne. The good news is that there are many good treatments that can help you get acne vulgaris under control.
