Discovering Causes of Eczema

By Antin.  Until now the exact cause of eczema is unknown. Abnormal function of immune system is believed to be a factor of eczema. In some cases of eczema, it is a type of allergic reaction. Atopic Dermatitis often occurs in people who have asthma or suffer from hay fever. Genetic factor may play rule in cases of eczema that people in the same family may have similar problems.

Some substances such as cosmetics, jewelry, soaps, detergents, clothing, or sweat can trigger the flare up of eczema. Allergens (substances that cause allergic reactions) like cow’s milk and seafood may also cause outbreaks of eczema. Changes in temperature or humidity can cause eczema for some people. Even psychological stress can be a factor of eczema.
