WHAT IS ECZEMA?

By AntinEczema is a common skin problem affecting many people, especially children. Eczema is ageneral term for many types of skin inflammation, also known as dermatitis. Some people use term Atopic Dermatitis instead eczema. Atopic Dermatitis is the most common form of eczema. However, there are many different forms of eczema as follows:

1. Atopic Dermatitis

2. Contact Eczema / Contact Dermatitis

3. Nummular Eczema

4. Seborrheic Eczema

5. Neuro Dermatitis

6. Stasis Dermatitis

7. Dyshidrotic Eczema

Eczema can affect people of any age, but the condition is most common in infants. About half of infants with eczema will permanently resolve by age 3. In others, the symptoms of eczema tend to recur throughout life. People with eczema often have a family history of dermatitis or other allergic reactions such as asthma or hay fever. The incidence of eczema about 20% of children and 1%-2% of adults.
