HOW TO USE SUNSCREEN

By Antin.   Most of us agree that using sunscreen is very important to avoid sun damage. Many skin problems such as aging process, acne, sunburn, even skin cancer are connected to sun exposure. These are some suggestions for using sunscreen:

1. Apply sunscreen to your skin everyday

2. Sunscreen should be generously applied to all areas of the skin exposed to the sun, especially the face and neck areas.

3. Protect your skin from the harsh rays of the sun by using sunscreen for the whole day, even if you are indoors since it is also reflected in the mirror, the glass, etc.

4. Apply sunscreen at least twenty minutes before going out and twenty minutes after.

5. During exercise that cause you to sweat, or swimming activities, sunscreen might be washed away by the water or sweat, so it should be applied at least every two hours.

6. The nose area needs a double dose of sunscreen since it is the area most prone to skin cancer.

7. Check the expiration date of your sunscreen regularly. Your sunscreen probably has already lost its potency.

8. You can use foundation that contains sunscreen, but experts recommend applying sunscreen before using other skin product such as foundation.

If you have sensitive type of skin especially to chemical skin product, you can use barrier sunscreen instead the chemical one to avoid any complications.
